And it should still form enough oil mist in the exhaust to ensure lubrication of the exhaust valve.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe latter property has the pleasant side effect that the exhaust systems of four-stroke engines that are regularly operated with top oil are far more durable than those of comparable vehicles that have to make do without this fuel additive.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eOf course, when top oil is added to the fuel, the pistons, cylinder liners and injection nozzles as well as the mechanical injection pumps of all four-stroke engines are lubricated in addition to the valves, regardless of whether they are bottom-, top- or exchange-controlled. Wear on pistons, cylinder liners, valves and injection nozzles is significantly reduced.
