The universalists for vehicles from the end of the 1950s to the present day
Multigrade oils cover a more or less broad viscosity and therefore temperature range. They consist of base oils with a relatively low viscosity and an additive that chemically bonds the molecular chains into longer chains at higher temperatures and thus ensures a higher viscosity. This ensures problem-free starting and fast lubrication at lower temperatures and at the same time a stable lubricating film at high temperatures.
Multigrade oils can be used in a large number of old engines, including those for which monograde oils were originally prescribed - however, the manufacturer's recommendations must be observed!
We will be happy to advise you individually on the choice of the optimum oil for your vehicle and can then also take into account the overhaul history and driving profile.
