One-component resin for sealing the inside of fuel tanks
Transparent and ready-to-use one-component resin for sealing and restoring tanks - prevents new rust formation on the inner surfaces of the tank and thus protects the tank from corrosion in the long term.
The "tank in the tank"
WAGNER Tankfix saves every tank by installing a protective inner tank. Even fuel tanks that already smell, weep or drip are usually 100% leak-proof again after sealing!
Gasoline, diesel and acid-resistant long-term coating
WAGNER Tankfix is resistant to leaded and unleaded fuel, ethanol-petrol mixtures such as E5, E10 and E85, pure ethanol, pure petrol, two-stroke mixtures, diesel fuel, aviation fuel, engine oil, transmission oil, hydraulic oil, mineral oil, synthetic oil, two-stroke oil, top oil and additives such as WAGNER Bactofin petrol stabilizer.
Easy application due to slow curing
In contrast to most two-component sealants, our transparent one-component resin does not become brittle and permanently retains a minimum of flexibility. This means that WAGNER Tankfix remains elastic and flexible after drying and can reliably compensate for the expansion and contraction of a metal tank caused by natural temperature fluctuations. In contrast to often very rigid 2k coatings, there are NO "micro-cracks" that can be infiltrated by the fuel and therefore our tank sealant CANNOT flake off and can withstand any damage to the tank caused by vibrations or minor accidents.
The water-like consistency and long working time of the transparent WAGNER tank sealing resin enable thorough and reliable work. This gives you the security of coating, sealing and preserving the tank completely and without "gaps" with our Tankfix.
Area of application
WAGNER Tankfix seals tank interiors made of steel (including alloys), aluminum, stainless steel, copper, brass and plastics such as carbon, GRP, Kevlar, polyester or vinyl ester.
Even new tanks with smooth inner surfaces can be sealed with WAGNER Tankfix, roughening is not necessary.
WAGNER Tankfix cannot be used on tanks made of polyethylene or polypropylene, as these materials cannot be permanently coated.
Dosage & application
- 175 ml is sufficient for treating the inside of tanks with a capacity of up to 10 liters.
- 250 ml is sufficient for treating the inside of tanks with a capacity of up to 30 liters.
- 500 ml is sufficient for the internal tank treatment of up to 80 liters of tank capacity (without baffle plates) or 60 liters of tank capacity (with baffle plates).
After appropriate preparatory work, pour the required amount of WAGNER Tankfix into the tank depending on the tank size and shake it vigorously, then carefully swivel it out. The resin should completely wet all inner walls.
After the first coat has dried and is no longer sticky (after approx. 12 - 24 hours), a second coat can be applied.
Final hardness is achieved after approx. 7 to 8 days at 20 °C. Lower temperatures extend the curing time.
Please read the instructions for tank sealing (available as a PDF download below and enclosed with the kits) carefully before starting work.
